The Co-operative Department, Puducherry had notified 40 vacancies in the post of Junior Inspector of Co-operative Societies vide Notification No.1-1/RCS/Estt/E1/2016 dated 12-02-2016 and 28-06-2016 and received applications from candidates. However, now the Government has decided to fill up 38 vacancies only and to call for further applications.
Accordingly, applications are invited from the eligible Indian Citizens who are Natives / Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry for the Written Competitive Examination to be held for Direct Recruitment to the post of Junior Inspector of Co-operative Societies (Group ‘C’ Non Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in the Co-operative Department, Puducherry, as detailed below:
THOSE WHO HAD APPLIED EARLIER IN RESPONSE TO THE NOTIFICATION DATED 12-02-2016 AND 28-06-2016 NEED NOT APPLY AGAIN. THEIR ELIGIBILITY WITH REGARD TO AGE WOULD BE RECKONED AS PER THE CUT-OFF DATE NOTIFIED EARLIER.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THOSE APPLICANTS WHO HAD APPLIED DURING THE YEAR 2016 IN RESPONSE TO THE EARLIER NOTIFICATION No.1-1/RCS/ESTT/E1/2016 DATED 12-02-2016 AND 28-06-2016 OF THE CO-OPERATIVE DEPARTMENT, PUDUCHERRY FOR DIRECT RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF JUNIOR INSPECTOR OF CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES
(a). The list of applicants who have applied earlier for the direct recruitment to the post of JUNIOR INSPECTOR OF CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES based on the Notification dated 12-02-201 6 and 28-06-2016 shall be viewed in the “Notifications, News & Events” menu in the “Direct Recruitment to the post of Junior Inspector” module of the recruitment portal https://recruitment.py.gov.in.
(b). Those who have applied earlier based on the above Notification “NEED NOT APPLY AGAIN”. However, they should view their application after logging into the online recruitment portal https://recruitment.py.gov.in. and update the following details / particulars “ONLY” in their online application by selecting the “Update Details” from 17-01-2024 to 04-02-2024. No further time relaxation will be provided.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR ELIGIBILITY:
B.Com. or B.A. (Co-op) or B.B.A. or B.C.M. (Bachelor of Co-operative Management) or B.B.M. (Bachelor of Banking Management) or B.C.S. (Bachelor of Corporate Secretaryship) or C.A. (Inter) or I.C.W.A. (Inter) or A.C.S. (Inter)
(OR) Any degree with D.Co-op. (Diploma in Co-operation) or D.C.M. (Diploma in Co-operative Management) or P.G.D.C.M. (Postgraduate Diploma in Co-operative Management) of a recognized University/ College I Institute.
Between 18 and 32 years* of age as on 04-02-2024, the last date for applying through on-line. Age limit is relaxable in respect of MBC, SC, OBC, EBC, BCM, BT, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husband and who are not re-married, as detailed below:
Relaxation of Upper Age Limit
MBC/OBC/EBC/BCM/BT -3 years
SC- 5 years
Ex-Servicemen Period of military service plus 3 years
PWBD : 10 Years
Widow / Divorced Woman / Woman judicially separated from her husband and who is not re-married -Up to the age of 35 years (up to 40 years for SC)
MODE OF RECRUITMENT /PATTERN OF EXAMINATION: –
Written Examination: The vacancies in the above said post will be filled through a Competitive Examination. The question paper will be of Degree Standard of objective type consisting of single part in forenoon session with a duration of 2 hours having 100 objective type questions carrying one mark each from General English, General Knowledge & Current affairs, Aptitude, Auditing and Accountancy. Negative mark of 0.25 will be awarded for every wrong answer and multiple answers will be treated as a wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this aspect in mind while answering the questions.
The Question paper will be in bi-lingual (except for General English) i.e, in English and in any one of the regional languages namely, Tamil or Telugu or Malayalam. Therefore, the candidates should indicate the choice of the language in which they prefer to write the examination, in the on-line application.
Answering would be in the form of shading the correct answer by using BLACK BALL POINT PEN only and the applicants are permitted to take the carbon copy of their answer sheet along with their question booklet.
The answer key will be published in the recruitment website https://recruitrnent.py.gov.in after completion of examination process.
Note: 1. Provisional Select list will be drawn based on the marks obtained by the applicants in the Competitive Examination, subject to reservation as per rules in force. Minimum qualifying marks to be secured by the various category of candidates are as follows:
UR :30%
MBC/OBC/EWS/EBC/BCM/BT : 25%
SC/PwBD/XSM : 20%
The validity of operation of wait list, if drawn, will be two years from the date of declaration of the result I publication of select list. The wait list will be operated in the event of occurrence of a vacancy caused in the select list due to rejection of candidature for non-production of required certificate, non-appearance of candidate for certificate verification, non-joining of candidate within the stipulated time allowed for joining the post or when a candidate joins but resigns or dies within a period of one year from the date of Joining etc.
The Competitive examination will be held in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions of Union Territory of Puducherry. The exact date, time and venue of the examination will be intimated in due course in the recruitment website and also in leading Newspapers.
