Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for selection and appointment by deputation / direct recruitment to the post of Director (Labs), Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) Chennai
The TNPCB was constituted under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (Central Act 6 of 1974). The TNPCB exercises functions related to prevention and control of pollution. The Director (Labs) shall be a full time incumbent.
The following are the qualifications and conditions for the post of Director (Labs), TNPCB, Chennai
The term of office of the selected candidate for the post of Director (Labs) is two (2) years only
i] Master’s Degree with Ph.D in Science in any one of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Micro Biology, Marine Biology, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Chemistry/ Science or any other allied discipline or inter discipline in science.
(ii) Minimum 8 years of experience after the award of PhD in research and / or teaching and Laboratory experience in atleast one of the following fields: Experience in industrial Labs/ or institution with respect to Pollution Control, Toxicology, Ecology, Environment Impact Analysis, analytical experience in Water, Air trade effluent, Management of hazardous wastes.
Desirable:
Publications, Technical and administrative experience to head a Laboratory
| The Director (Labs) of the Board shall be paid a salary in the |
| Level 29 Minimum 123400 – Maximum 250800 with other allowances admissible to the post as per rules in force. |
| Age Limit as on 2 8.0 2 . 2 0 23 |
| OC- Must not have completed 40 years BC, MBC, SC/ST – Must not have completed 45 years |
