Requirement of Scientist (01 — Position ) for the TANII 2021-2022 Project on “Identification of modified/ altered/ degraded meat derivatives of deer species to the species level using high throughput DNA High Resolution Melt” at AIWC, Vandalur for for a period of one year on contractual basis.
The Advanced Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AlWC), a premier Institute under Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the temporary project based position of Scientist (0 I No.) for the TANII Project on “Identification of modified / altered / degraded meat derivatives of deer species to the species level using high throughput DNA High Resolution Melt” for a period of one year on contractual basis through a personal Interview. Detail of the position along with essential and desirable qualifications, and monthly consolidated remuneration are given in Annexure- I.

Application should be in the prescribed format, duly signed and should be accompanied by self-attested copies of documents on educational qualifications, research experience, UGC/CSIR/GATE certificate (if any), extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations, community certificate (if seeking relaxation as per Government of Tamil Nadu rules), etc.
The Institute will not provide accommodation and no TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the personal interview.
At the time of the verification of original documents or even after selection, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to wilfully conceal, misrepresent the facts or canvass, such application will be rejected, and due action will be taken against the candidate.
No upper age limit is prescribed for this project.
Position : Scientist

PROJECT TITLED ON TANII Project on “Identification of modified / altered I degraded meat derivatives of deer species to the species level using high throughput DNA High Resolution Melt”
Ph. D in Biotechnology (or) Molecular Biology & Genetics (or) Genetic Engineering
Essential Qualification: Doctorate· Degree in above disciplines with a minimum 60% aggregate marks and above from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification: Good command over written and spoken English. Interest to carry out both lab-based and field-based research.
5year and above research experience in relevant field. (preferred in quantitative PCR techniques)
Consolidated pay of Salary Rs. 70,000/- per month
