ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research will conduct walk-in-interview / written tests on the below mentioned purely temporary project posts, tenable at ICMR-NIMR for the period as mentioned below.

Place of Posting : ICMR – NIMR, NIE Campus, Chennai

Project Technician – III : 01 UR

Salary Rs.18000/-

Age Limit : 30 Years

Essential Qualification: 12th Pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma
in Medical Laboratory Technology
(DMLT) Or One-year DMLT + one year laboratory experience in recognized
organization Or Two years Field/Laboratory experience in Govt.
recognized organization.

Note: B.Sc. Degree in MLT shall be treated as 3 years’ experience.

Desirable Qualification:

Field experience in surveillance of mosquito vectors/data collection/
laboratory experiments on vector mosquitoes.

Knowledge of Computer applications.

Able to read, write and speak in English and Tamil.

Nature of Duties:

1. Active involvement in field data collection/laboratory experiments.
2. Field data recording (digital) and immature/adult mosquito sample
   collection.
3. Involvement in identification of mosquito specimens, rearing of
   vector mosquitoes, its maintenance etc.
4. Arranging field materials for immature and adult surveillance.
5. Assisting the team in field surveillance & keeping stock of
   the materials.
6. Any other work assigned by Director/PI/ Superior Officer

Project Technician I : 01(UR)

Salary Rs.16000/-

Age Limit : 25 Years

Essential Qualification: High School* or equivalent with one year experience
in related field from a Government institution or recognized institute or
certificate of one year training in the relevant area or ITI or National Trade
Certificate of National Council for Vocational Training and successful
completion of ATS in a relevant trade from a Government recognized board.

Intermediate with science subjects shall be treated as equivalent to 2 years’ experience

Desirable Qualification:-

Field experience in surveillance of mosquito vectors/data collection/
community-based surveys.

Able to interact well with the household members/community.

Able to write and communicate well in local language in the study
districts.

Nature of Duties:

1. Active involvement in field data collection of immature and adult
   vector mosquitoes.
2. Involvement and assisting in identification of mosquito specimens, rearing of vector
   mosquitoes, its maintenance etc.
3. Arranging field materials for immature and adult surveillance.
4. Any other work assigned by Director/PI/ Superior Officer

Multi Tasking Staff : 01 (UR)

Salary Rs.15,800/-

Essential Qualification:10th Pass/ High school or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification:

1. Driving license holder and able to drive carefully in remote areas/
   villages in Tamil Nadu.
2. Willingness to drive any time of the day as per the project in public
   interest.
3. Maintenance of vehicle and attending minor repairs as and when needed.
