The Advanced Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC), a premier Institute under Tamil Nadu Forest Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training, invites application from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellows (03 Nos.) through a Qualifying test followed by an Interview. Details of the positions along with essential and desirable qualifications, Age Criteria, monthly fellowship are given in Annexure- I.
The last date of receipt of completed application form along with supporting documents is 05.12.2021 @ 5.00 p.m. The duly filled in application documents should be sent by email to [email protected]
Age limit for JRF is 28 years as on 0 1.12.2021 but age relaxation will be considered as per Government of Tamil Nadu norms for reserved category candidates.
The candidates appearing for Written Examination and Personal Interview should report at Advanced Institute for Wildlife Conservation (Near Vandalur Zoo), Vandalur, Chennai -600048 with original application and documents at 10:00 a. m. for scrutiny of documents followed by a written test on 10 December,2021 (10:30 a.m.) and Personal Interview on 10 December,2021 (12:00 p.m onwards).

Junior Research Fellows : 03 Posts
a. Morphometry lab – I Post
M.V.Sc. in Anatomy or M.Sc. in Wildlife Biology or Zoology
b. Forensic DNA Lab – 2 Posts
M.Sc./MTech in Biotechnology or Molecular Biology & Genetics or Genetic engineering
Essential Qualification: Masters’ Degree in above disciplines corresponding to the respective laboratories mentioned, with a minimum 60% aggregate marks and above from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification: Good command over written and spoken English. Interest to carry out both lab-based and field-based research.
One Experience preferred
Salary Rs.30000/-
Age Relaxation : Up to 5 Years for the Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ Women / BC / MBC / Physically Challenged category.
