Duties and responsibilities:
Work involves,
- Genetic engineering techniques : PCR, Agarose gel electrophoresis, Restriction Analysis,
Gene Cloning, Expression, gene manipulation etc, - Microbiological techniques : Cell culture, virus titration, serum neutralization tests,
Western blotting etc.,
Location : Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College and
Research Institute, Namakkal,
Pay and allowances : Rs.25, 000/- + HRA at 8% of the pay / month – (Total = Rs.27, 000/
month)
Any other : Experience in Genetic engineering is desirable.

Essential Qualifications
i) Master’s Degree in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences/ M.V.Sc or Bachelor degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
and
ii) Two years experience in Research and Development in Industrial or academic
institutions or Science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and
services
Age limit : 35
Monthly emoluments:
Pay: ₹ 35000 + HRA 24 %
i)Scholars who are selected through a) National eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC-NET
including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or b) A selection process through
National level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their
Agencies and institutions
OR
₹ 28000 + HRA 24 % for others who do not fall under (i) above
Candidate with full bio data are requested to walk into the Department of Veterinary
Pathology, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai – 600 007 for a written test and
interview on 09.01.2024 at 10.00 a.m. with original certificates in support of age,
qualifications, photo ID card and experience certificate if any etc. Working personnel
are requested to attend with no objection letter from the present employer. No TA and
DA will be provided to attend the interview. The written examination would be for
one hour duration with multiple choice questions
