Selection Procedure
Screening Test
o If the number of applicants present on the date of selection
exceeds the ratio 1:3, a screening Test will be conducted to
shortlist the candidates for the Personal Interview. The marks will
not be considered for final selection.
o The Screening Test will test the knowledge of the candidates upto
Graduation level for TGT for the subject applied and upto
Secondary level in all subjects for PRT.
o Pattern: Multiple Choice Questions
Personal Interview:
o The Screened candidates will be assessed through an interview.
Other terms and conditions:
- The Contract teachers should perform all the jobs related to academics
including evaluation work for which no extra payment will be made. - Contract teachers will have no claim or right for appointment on regular basis
and will not form part of the cadre of regular Railway teachers, also they are
not entitled for any other facilities of regular employees. - If the candidates are already in employment, they should produce no objection
certificate from their current employer. - Original certificates in support of educational/Technical qualification and proof
for age are to be produced by the candidates at the time of interview. - The contract teachers shall not have any right or claim for continuity in service
or extension of contract period or regularization of service. - No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
- In the event of any wrong information/fake certificates/ testimonials/
discrepancy in the particulars being detected at any stage, the candidature/
contract may be terminated without any notice and necessary action as per
extant law will be taken against them. - The selected candidates will have to execute an agreement with Railway
administration for their contractual appointment. - The contract teachers are entitled for monthly consolidated remuneration and
are not entitled to any other perks/facilities. In case of absence from duty on
working days, pro rata recovery shall be made.
10.Candidates should have requisite academic qualifications on the date of the
application. Those who are appearing at and/or awaiting the results of the final
examination are not eligible. Academic and Technical Qualification must be
from a recognized Institution / Board, otherwise, the candidature will be
rejected. Engagement on a Contract basis of the candidates will be subject to
their being found suitable and in order of merit by the Selection Committee.
11.The contract teachers appointed for a period of less than a month will be paid
on a pro-rata basis only.
12.The calculation of pro rata remuneration will be as follows;
(Consolidated monthly remuneration x Number of days worked)

13.The decision of this office in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or
rejection of the applications, selection, and allotment of posts to selected
candidates will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or
correspondence will be entertained in this connection. The administration
reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies at any stage.
14.Separate applications should be submitted for each category of Post, if
applying for more than one post.
15.Candidates called for interview must bring the following original documents
along with two copies of the documents at the time of the interview.
