following project posts which are to be filled purely on contractual and temporary basis to work under the research project entitled “Studies on prevalence and spatial distribution of Ixodid tick populations, the vectors of Kyasanur forest disease and the KFD virus in the forest ranges of Eastern Ghats, India” at ICMR-VCRC, Puducherry
Name of the post Project Technician-III
Number of Post 02 (Two) –OBC:1, SC:1
Essential Qualification 12th pass in Science subjects and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) OR One year DMLT plus one-year experience in recognized
organization OR two years’ field/laboratory experience in B.Sc. (MLT/Life
Sciences) shall be treated as 3 years’ experience
Nature of duties Field surveys to collect tick samples, laboratory processing of tick samples and any other work as assigned by the Investigators
Age limit Not exceeding 30 years (Relaxable upto 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC
candidates)
Consolidated Salary ` 18,000/-
Contract period One year (initially) and likely to be extended as per requirement
Place of posting Puducherry and anywhere in India as per the requirement of the project
Selection Procedure : Written test or Interview
Name of the post Project Technician-II
Number of Post 02 (Two) – OBC:1, UR:1
Essential Qualification High School* or equivalent with five years’ experience in Public Health/Biomedical
field from a Government Institution or recognized Institute. *Intermediate with
Science subjects and B.Sc., degree shall be treated as 02 & 03 years’ experience
respectively
Nature of duties Field surveys to collect tick samples, laboratory processing of tick samples and any other work as assigned by the Investigators
Age limit Not exceeding 28 years (Relaxable upto 3 years for OBC candidates )
Consolidated Salary ` 17,000/-
Contract period One year (initially) and likely to be extended as per requirement
Place of posting Puducherry and anywhere in India as per the requirement of the project
