Scientific Officer -C [Systems] : 1 (One) (UR)
Basic Pay : 56100 Level 10 of 7th CPC
Qualification : Candidates should have completed either a Bachelor’s Degree in Science
(Physics/Mathematics/Computer Science/IT/Computer Applications)
(OR)
Bachelor’s Degree (B.E, B.Tech. or equivalent) in Engineering (Computer Science /
ECE/EEE/IT) from a reputed College / Institution.
Experience : Minimum 03-05 years
Desirable : Experience in a similar position in a reputed academic institution.
Essential Skills :
◆ Linux/Mac/Windows System administration
◆ Knowledge of computer architecture, storage and computer networking
◆ Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripts, C++, Python, PHP
◆ Maintenance of software and hardware infrastructure in large data-centres
◆ Knowledge of multimedia projection, Video- conferencing, web-casting, etc.
◆ Knowledge of web applications, content management.
◆ Knowledge of IT security
◆ Ability to learn on the job
◆ Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to function in team environment
◆ Knowledge of tender processing and inventory management
Desirable Skills:
◆ Work experience in maintaining LINUX / UNIX systems in a LAN environment
◆ Well versed in problem solving and trouble shooting
◆ Knowledge of database management systems
◆ Knowledge of HPC cluster management
◆ Proficiency in programming languages MySQL, Perl, Java, in addition to essential
skills in C++, PHP, Python, Unix Shell Scripting
◆ Experience in MPI, GPU coding
