Applications are invited from the retired Engineers for engagement on contract basis as Junior Engineer (Electrical), Assistant Engineer (Civil), in ESIC, Tamilnadu Region as detailed under:
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
For Assistant Engineers:
a) Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized University/Institution.
b) Only persons who were Asst. Engineer or above at the time of retirement from Central / State PWD or CPSUs/PSUs
will be considered.
For Junior Engineers:
a) Degree/Diploma in Electrical engineering from recognized university/Institution.
b) Only persons who were Junior Engineer or above at the time of retirement from Central/State PWD Department/
Central or State Public sector undertaking will be considered.
MAXIMUM AGE: 64 years as on closing date of application
REMUNERATION/ EMOLUMENT AND OTHER CONDITIONS
a) A consolidated amount equivalent to last pay drawn minus pension drawn will be the remuneration/ emolument per
month. This would be subject to the condition that their pension + remuneration should not exceed the last pay
including DA drawn by the official. For retired employees from non – pensionable govt./semi-govt. employment like
autonomous bodies, PSUs etc. the following consolidated monthly remuneration would be admissible:
JEs – Rs. 33630/-
AEs – Rs. 45000/-
b) No other perks/benefits such as HRA, CCA, Transport allowance, medical reimbursement shall be allowed.
c) They will be entitled to a maximum of one day leave for every month of completed service in addition to Government
Holidays. No other leave with pay is admissible.
d) The employment will be purely contractual in nature and may be terminated with one month’s notice or
remuneration in lieu thereof, without assigning reasons thereof.
e) Tenure of contract is one year or till the process of regular recruitment for these posts is completed whichever is earlier.
MODE OF SELECTION
The selection is to be made through personal interview. In case of large number of walk-in candidates, ESI
Corporation will shortlist the candidates for personal interview based on some objective criteria.
