Notification for engagement of Apprentices for the year 2024-25
Under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973
TNSTC – Villupuram Region (Villuuram, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore &
Cuddalore), TNSTC – Salem Region (Salem, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, Krishnagiri), TNSTC, Coimbatore
Region (Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiri, Erode), TNSTC – Tirunelveli (Tirunelveli, Nagercoil) and SETC
TN Ltd, Chennai, invites Online application from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering
(passed during 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024), hailing from Tamilnadu, for undergoing one year
Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
I. Monthly Stipend: Rs.9000/- for Graduate Apprentices (Engineering and Non Engineering)
and Rs.8000/- for Diploma (Technician) Apprentices
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) w i th F ir s t C la ss
granted by a Statutory University in relevantdiscipline.
A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) w i th F ir s t C la ss
granted by an Institution empowered to grantsuch degree by an Act of Parliament in
relevant discipline.
Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or
Central Government as equivalent to above.
. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Regular – Full time) granted by a State
Council or Board ofTechnical Education established by a State Government in relevant
discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) granted by a University in
relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the
State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Category – III Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:-
A Degree in A r t s / S c i e n c e / C o m m e r c e / H u m a n i t i e s s u c h a s B A / B . S c . ,
/ B . C o m / B B A / B B M / B C A e t c . , (Regular – Full time) granted by a Statutory
University / Deemed University in relevant discipline. – UGC approved
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested with the task of preparation of shortlist from the online
application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic
prescribed qualification as applicable to the respectivedisciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through
their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at TNSTC, Salem.

compulsorily enter percentage of marks in the column “% of marks / CGPAx10” in the NATS
portal. If % of marks is not furnished candidature will not be considered.

b. Click Student
c. Click Student login
d. Click Forgot Password
e. Enter Registered email id to get activation link &
Reset password.
Step 2:
a. Student login
b. Enter registered email id & new password
c. Complete application form
d. A unique Enrollment number (12 digit) for each
student will be generated.
After completion of enrollment (new portal
migration) process
