AGE LIMIT (as on 01.07.2023):
SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of All Categories : 18 Years – No maximum Age limit
OTHERS : 18 Years Should not have completed or will complete the age of 32 years
Explanation: No maximum age limit shall mean that the applicants should not have
completed 60 years of age either on the date of notification or at the time of selection
/appointment to the post.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 27.04.2023)
M.Sc., (Forensic Science) Degree and a Degree in the Subject, for the
Group as shown in the Explanation below to which he/ she is appointed.

M.Sc., Degree in the Subject for the Group as shown in the Explanation
below to which he/ she is appointed.
Provided that other things being equal, preference shall be given to
person who holds a degree in M.Sc., (Forensic Science).

(i) The individuals who possess M.Sc degree in Computer Science must have
acquired a basic degree in Physics or Chemistry as major subject;
(ii) The individuals who possess M.Sc degree in Environmental Toxicology must
have acquired a basic degree with Chemistry as major subject for
appointment in Chemistry or Prohibition or Excise or Explosives or Narcotics
Divisions/ Units;
(iii) The individuals who possess M.Sc degree in Physics or Chemistry or Forensic
Science with basic degree in Physics or Chemistry as major subject must
have acquired a Diploma or Post-graduate Diploma in Computer Application
or any subject related to Computer Science for appointment in Computer
Forensic Science Division/Unit.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination
and (ii) Oral Test in the form of an interview. Based on the marks obtained by the
candidates in the Written Examination and availability of vacancies for the particular
Group, the tentative list of eligible candidates for Certificate Verification will be
announced in the Commission’s website. After verification of the original certificates,
the eligible candidates will be summoned for Oral Test following the rule of reservation
of appointment and availability of vacancies for the particular Group. A candidate
who has not appeared in any one of the papers in Written Examination or Oral Test
will not be considered for selection, even if he/she secures qualifying marks in the
Written Examination or Oral Test. Final selection for appointment to this post will be
done in the form of counselling on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates
in the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together, subject to the rule of
reservation of appointment and availability of vacancies for the particular Group.
