Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following contractual
position at the Department of Library, Fisheries College and Research Institute,
Thoothukudi with the qualifications, emoluments, etc., as specified below.
Name of the Post : Assistant Librarian (Contractual)
Number of Post : One
Minimum Qualification : Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS)
Preferred qualification Ph.D. with / without NET
PGDCA Library Automation and Networking
Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in an academic
library of reputed institute / university with
library automation softwares
Monthly emoluments
(Consolidated pay)
M.LIS. only – ` 35,000/- per month
M.LIS with Net – ` 40,000/- per month
Ph.D. in Library Science – ` 45,000/- per month
