for imparting training under the Apprentices Act 1961 in the designated trades at various
Divisions/Workshops/Units in the jurisdiction of Southern Railway. Candidates residing in the following locations/areas falling within the Geographical Jurisdiction of Southern Railway alone are eligible to apply.

- Whole state of Kerala.

There is NO GUARANTEE 0F EMPLOYMENT and their contract of apprenticeship will be
terminated on completion training. However, 20% of the vacancies in case of Direct recruitment
to post in Level 1 shall be filled giving preference to Course completed act apprentices (CCAAs).

Candidates will be called for Certificate Verification Purpose / Selected / Stand-Bye List will be uploaded in Southern Railway Website. Candidates should maintain the same mobile number & e-mail ID till the selection is completed and the Administration will not be responsible for non receipt of communication due to change in mobile number or e-mail lD. Frequent monitoring of SMS / Email / Visiting Southern Railway website is the sole responsibility of candidates.

Marksheet, ITI Mark Sheet Community Certificate, Bank Pass Book, AADHAAR, PAN. If
there is any mismatch in the above, the same may be rectified.
Apprentices will be engaged in the following trades. The slots available in various trades
with communal break-up in GOC workshop, Tricky and Madurai Divisions are tabulated
below for the information of candidates.
Qualification : 10th and ITI in relevant Trade
Age Limit as on date of notification i.e 29.09,20221:-
The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should NOT have completed
24 years for Ex-ITI, MLT Respectively
The upper age is relaxable by 3 Years for OBC candidates, 5 Years for SC/ST candidates
and 10 Years for Persons with disability (PWD).
Processing fee Non-Refundable Rs.100/-:
Fee is to be paid through ONLINE MODE. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PH/
Women candidates.

Criteria for preparing merit list in the selection:
The following criteria are prescribed for preparation of merit in the selection:
Taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both
Matriculation [with minimum 50% aggregate marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
For Freshers:-The average of marks obtained by the candidates in Matriculation/10th Std
