Applications are invited for Direct Recruitment from eligible candidates for the post of Block Educational Officer in the Directorate of Elementary Education Under Tamil Nadu Elementary Education Subordinate Service for the year 2019 – 2020 to 2021 – 2022 only through online mode upto 5.00 p.m. on 05.07.2023.
The candidates shall mandatorily upload the certificates / documents
(in support of all the claims made / details furnished in the online
application) at the time of submission of online application itself. It shall
be ensured by the candidates that the online application shall not be
submitted without uploading the requiredcertificates.
Candidates are directed to read all the information / instructions /
guidelines given in this notification and the Board’s “Instructions to the
Candidates” (http://www.trb.tn.gov.in) before applying for this
recruitment. Clarification, if any, required may be obtained over phone or by an
email well ahead of the last date for submission of online application.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2023)::
Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (8) of section 20 of the
T.N. Government Servants (Conditions of Services) Act, 2016, no person shall
be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to any of the categories
specified in these rules, if he / she has completed 40 years of age, on the first
July 2023.
Provided that for direct recruitment to any of the categories specified in
these rules, the age limit prescribed above shall be increased by five years in
respect of candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Backward Class
Muslims, Most Backward Classes or Denotified Communities, Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Destitute widows of all castes.
As per Part III – Section 1(b), Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu
Elementary Education Subordinate Service, Section 48-A Rule 6 (a) T.N.
Government Gazette No.36, Date. 30.01.2020 and [G.O.(Ms). No.12,
School Education, EE1(1), 30.01.2020].
Educational Qualifications (As on the date of Notification): No person shall be eligible for appointment to the service to the post of
Block Educational Officer, unless he possesses the minimum qualifications as
follows:
(i) A degree of any University recognized by University Grant Commission
or its equivalent and B.Ed. Degree in any University recognized by
University Grant Commission or its equivalent. Provided that a degree
should be from any one of the subjects such as Tamil, English,
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Geography
and History.

(ii) The candidates not having prescribed educational qualifications, as on the date of notification shall not be eligible to apply. The candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility criteria before applying. It is to be noted that if a candidate is allowed to appear for the examination, it does not mean that the eligibility of the candidate is verified. The eligibility of the candidate shall be
verified by the Board only at the time of Certificate Verification (if called for).
C. Equivalence of Qualification: Candidates claiming equivalence of qualification to the prescribed qualification should upload and submit evidence for equivalence of qualification in the form of Government Order. Those who have applied for their equivalence Government Orders should submit their equivalence order at the time of Certificate Verification, failing which, their candidature will be summarily rejected after due process.

Qualification Criteria:
(i) Candidates who obtained a Degree after undergoing a course of one year
duration (Double degree /Dual degree etc.) are not eligible to apply for this
recruitment.
(ii) Candidates who obtained any of the required qualifications (SSLC, HSC,
U.G. Degree and B.Ed., degree) simultaneously are not eligible to apply
for this recruitment.
(iii) In cases where the Special Rules prescribe a Diploma or a Degree or a
Post Graduate Degree as a qualification for appointment, then; –
(a) a diploma obtained, after completion of S.S.L.C. or Higher Secondary
Course [10+3 (3 Years Diploma)] or [10+2+2 (Lateral Entry)]; or
(b) a degree obtained, after completion of S.S.L.C. and Higher Secondary
Course (10+2+3 or more)
EXAMINATION FEE
The Examination fee is Rs.600/- for all the candidates except SC, SCA,
ST and differently abled persons. For SC, SCA, ST and differently abled
persons the examination fee is Rs. 300/- Since the examination fee is
different for various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct
Community / Person with Disability category. Once the payment is made, it
will not be refunded.

A. Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test and will be
conducted as per the scheme of examination mentioned above. B. Written Examination:
(i)The Date, Time and Centre for the OMR based Examination will be indicated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its website. The candidates are advised to refer to the Teachers Recruitment Board website for details (http://www.trb.tn.gov.in). No written communication or the Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidates separately.
(ii) The participation of the candidates in the OMR based Examination is purely provisional and does not confer any acceptance of their claim in the application.
(iii) Scribes: Eligible Orthopedically Impaired candidates will be allowed assistance of scribes based on the Disability Certificate /Medical Certificate submitted by the candidates.
(iv) Allotment of Centers: PWD candidates will be allocated within the district
based on their communication address. Others will be allocated in any place
since availability of centers are not uniformly spaced and numbers are limited.
(v) Examination Results: The marks of written examination will be published in the website of Teachers Recruitment Board viz.https://www.trb.tn.gov.in and a press release will be issued in the visual media.
