B.Ed degree holders can apply for TGT/PRT/Balvatika(PREP) Teachers
It is proposed to conduct walk-in written test and skill test for engaging teachers on contract basis
against the leave / regular vacancies that may arise during the year 2024-25 in the following posts.

Educational and other Qualifications for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
Essential
Three year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
(obtained by conversion to percentage in accordance with the method of conversion of corresponding
University/Institution’s norms) in the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects as well as in aggregate.
OR
Four year integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks or
equivalent CGPA (obtained by conversion to percentage in accordance with the method of conversion of
corresponding University/ Institution’s norms) in the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects as well as
in aggregate.
TGT (Bio/Chemistry)
Chemistry, Botany/Zoology,
TGT (English/Social Science)
i) English as a subject in Graduation all three years
ii) B.A. with any two of the following subjects:
History, Geography, Economics and Pol.Science of which
one of the subjects must be either History or Geography
TGT (Art)
5 years recognised Diploma in Drawing and Painting/
Sculpture/ Graphic Art or equivalent recognised degree with a
minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA
(obtained by conversion to percentage in accordance with the
method of conversion of corresponding University/
Institution’s norms).
Note : Equivalent degree will be Bachelors in Fine Arts after
Class XII.
TGT(Tamil)
Tamil as an elective Subject in Graduation in all three years and
Pass in B. Ed with Tamil as a teaching subject with minimum
50% of marks or equivalent CGPA
Note:
(i) The candidates with professional qualifications of Special B.Ed. or D.Ed. or Special
D.Ed. are not eligible to apply for these posts.
(ii) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University/ Institute. B.Ed is not required
for the candidates with BSc.Ed or BA.Ed, or MSc.Ed
Desirable:
- Proficiency in teaching in English Medium for TGT (Tamil) & PRT (Tamil)
- Working knowledge of Computers
- Educational and other Qualifications for Primary Teacher (PRT) & Balavatika Teacher
Primary
Teacher
(EMS)
i) Pass in Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary School
Certificate Examination or Intermediate or its equivalent
with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent
CGPA with English as subject in +2 level.
ii) Two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)/ four
years Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / two
years Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) from recognized Institution.
OR
Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (Paper-I)
conducted by CBSE in accordance with the guidelines framed
by NCTE for this purpose.
Balavatika
Teacher
(i) Pass in Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary School
Certificate Examination or Intermediate or its equivalent
with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent
CGPA with English as subject in +2 level.
(ii) Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education /Pre-School
Education/Early Childhood Education Programme (D. E. C.
Ed.) of duration of not less than two years, or B.Ed.
(Nursery) from National Council for Teacher Education
recognized institution.
Note:
Candidates with B.Ed/ D.Ed/ 01 year nursery training can
also be considered.
MODE OF SELECTION
I) Written test – The screening test will have 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 50 marks
in the concerned subjects for one and half hours. Candidates scoring 50% or above and 45%
or above (SC/ST/OBC/Divyang) will be considered for Skill test.
II) Skill test – For the candidates short-listed on the basis of written test.
III The selected candidates will be empanelled and the panel will be operated as an when
vacancies arise in AEC School Kudankulam for the year 2024-25

General Instructions
- Candidates must submit application form along with photocopies of required documents and a recent
passport size photograph at the time of registration. Original documents should be produced for
verification at the time of registration also. For TGT(Art) /Prep Teacher , copies of mark sheets of all the
years of graduation/diploma are to be submitted invariably. If the grade is mentioned in their degree or
the subject code is mentioned in the mark sheet, then photocopy of grade conversion and subject
details are to be provided. - Candidates not submitting photo copies of testimonials will not be considered for further process of
selection. - No TA/DA is admissible for attending the written test and skill test for the candidates.
- Candidates will be disqualified if any form of canvassing is done for getting post on contract basis.
