i) A single common computer based online examination (instead of OMR answer coding sheet as notified on 16.03.2021) will be conducted for both the posts of Junior Assistant and Typist called for, based on the approval of the Board of Management (i.e. The Apex authority of the University).
ii) The tentative date(s) for examination is proposed for February 2023. The actual date of examination will be announced shortly.
iii) The centres for the examination will be intimated later. The examination centres in respect of the other state candidates will be either at Chennai (as published in the notification) or at the centre located in Tamil Nadu nearest to their native state, subject to availability in the examination centres.
iv) Normalisation procedure to be adopted:
The following Normalisation procedure as adopted in the recruitments made by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the examinations conducted in more than one session will be adopted.
Normalisation of the marks:
Whenever computer based online examination is conducted in more than one session for a post, based on the same syllabus, same pattern, for candidates having same eligibility criteria, the raw marks obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be converted to normalised marks taking into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different sessions. A candidate will be permitted to appear only in one session.
In case there is only one session, the actual marks obtained by the candidates will be used for arriving at the merit list.
The following normalisation formula (as followed in various Competitive Examinations in India) will be adopted for calculating the normalised marks for the examination conducted in more than one session. The formula arrives at normalised score using Mean and Standard Deviation of Base / Standard and Target Batch.
