Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute Recruitment 2022

A Walk-in-interview is scheduled to be held on 21.12.2022 (10.00 AM) at
Mandapam Regional Centre of ICAR -Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Marine
Fisheries Post, Mandapam Camp, Ramanathapuram Dist., Tamilnadu – 623520 for the
recruitment of One Young Professional-I (YP-I) and One Field Assistant for undertaking
Seaweed Farming trials under the PMMSY funded project (“Joint Study on Seaweed
cultivation potential and ecological safeguards in Gulf of Mannar, Tamilnadu”). The
eligible candidates fulfilling all the requirements are advised to attend the interview along
with their original supporting documents. The details of eligibility condition and other

Essential Qualification Bachelor degree in Fisheries Science/Biological
Sciences/Life Sciences
Desirable Experiences With minimum 1 year research experience in seaweed
research.
Working knowledge in computers.
Nature & Duration of Post Purely on temporary basis. The post is Co-terminous with the
project. (as per ICAR guidelines)
Age Limit Minimum 21years and maximum 45 years with eligible
relaxation as per rules.
Emoluments Rs. 25,000/- per month consolidated Emoluments
(as per revised ICAR guidelines)

Essential Qualification Matriculation/ SSLC / equivalent
Desirable Experiences With minimum 1 year research experience in seaweed

Terms and conditions

1. Interested eligible candidates can attend along with their original and
   self-attested copies of the testimonials, certificates, proof of age, mark
   sheets etc. as required in the Advertisement.
2. The above position will be filled on contractual basis.
3. No TA, DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. Candidate should produce a No Objection Certificate from their present
   employer if any.
5. If any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICARCMFRI, the candidate intending to attend the interview has to declare
   his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing as
   detailed in Annexure-II.
6. Candidates having marks issued in the form of CGPA/OGPA should
   produce approved conversion table/formula at the time of reporting for
   interview, otherwise their candidature will not be considered.
7. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at
   this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular
   and time bound.
8. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to
   disqualification or termination.
9. Decision of Director, ICAR-CMFRI will be final and binding in all respects.
