NOTIFICATION FOR FILLING UP THE VACANCIES OF TEACHING CATEGORY
IN RAILWAY HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (CBSE), MADURAI ON CONTRACT BASIS

Railway Higher Secondary School (CBSE), Madurai, invites applications from eligible
candidates for the recruitment of teaching staff on a contractual basis for the academic session
2025-2026.
This appointment is strictly temporary, ranging from a minimum of seven (7) working days to
a maximum of two hundred (200) working days or until the position is filled through Railway
Recruitment Board selection or internal promotion. The engagement is purely contractual, with a
fixed consolidated monthly remuneration.

Age Limit: –
Candidates should be between 18 and 65 years as of the interview date. The selected
candidates cannot continue their contract beyond the age of 65 years.

(B) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be conducted by the appropriate
government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
Provided that minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to
those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or
Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 09th December
2013.
(C) Competency in teaching in Hindi medium.
NOTE: Relaxation up to 5% in the educational qualifying marks shall be allowed to the
candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
o Contract teachers are required to perform all academic-related tasks, including evaluation
work, without any additional payment.
o They shall have no claim or right to a permanent appointment and will not be considered part
of the regular cadre of Railway teachers. They are also not entitled to any benefits provided
to regular employees.
o Candidates currently employed must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their
present employer.
o At the time of registration/interview, candidates must present original certificates
verifying their educational and professional qualifications, along with proof of age.
Failure to provide these documents will result in ineligibility to attend the interview.
o Contract teachers have no right to continuity of service, contract extension, or regularization
of employment.
o No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided for attending the interview.
o If any false information, fake certificates, or discrepancies are detected at any stage, the
contract may be terminated without notice, and legal action will be taken as per existing laws.
o Selected candidates must sign an agreement with the Railway administration for their
contractual appointment.
o Contract teachers will receive a fixed monthly remuneration with no additional benefits.
Absence on working days will result in a proportional deduction in pay.
o Vacation pay is not applicable. Remuneration during vacation periods will be calculated on a
pro-rata basis.
o Candidates must meet the required academic qualifications as of the interview date.
Those awaiting results or appearing for their final exams are ineligible. Qualifications
must be from a recognized institution/board, or the application will be rejected.
Selection is based on merit as determined by the Selection Committee.
o If appointed for less than a month, remuneration will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
o Pro-rata remuneration calculation:
(Monthly Consolidated Remuneration × Number of Days Worked) ÷30
o The office’s decision regarding eligibility, acceptance/rejection of applications, selection, and
post allotment is final. No inquiries or correspondence will be entertained.
o Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications for each category.

HOW TO APPLY?
 Interested candidates must complete the Google Form (link below) and submit their
application in the prescribed format. A scanned copy must be uploaded while filling out
the form, and the original documents must be presented at the time of the walk-in
interview.
 Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email with interview details.
 Incomplete or incorrectly filled Google Form applications will be rejected.
 Applications submitted through any other means will not be considered. Only
applications received via the Google Form will be accepted.
