Notification for engagement of Apprentices for the year 2022-23
under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973)
Combat Vehicle Research and Development Establishment. (CVRDE)
(STNTLC000024) Avadi, Chennai, invites Online application from eligible
Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering (passed during 2020, 2021 & 2022), hailing from
Tamilnadu, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship
(Amendment) Act 1973.
II. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a Statutory
University in relevant discipline.
A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution
empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State
Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Full time) granted by a State Council
or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant
discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a University in
relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised
by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
III. AGE:
Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
IV. RESERVATION OF VACANCIES:
Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will
be followed. Those who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PwD shall provide
certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation
will be considered as ‘General’ category only. If BC/MBC candidates claiming OBC
(Non creamy layer) category, they should bring OBC (NCL) certificate as per the
approved (OBC – NCL) format from the certificate issuing authority.
V. MINIMUM PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if
any.
VI. DURATION OF TRAINING:
The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of
one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
VII. PREVIOUS TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing
apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year
or more experience are not eligible to apply
VIII. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The overall provisional rank list based on marks and community will be shared to
Combat Vehicle Research & Development Estt. (CVRDE), Avadi, Chennai, after the
cutoff date. Certificate Verification shall be done by Combat Vehicle Research &
Development Estt. (CVRDE), Avadi, Chennai.
IX. PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
IN COMBAT VEHICLES RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT

For students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal and having login
details
Please note : After verification of student
enrolment by BOAT (SR), a student can
able to login and apply
Step 1:
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “COMBAT VEHICLES RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT
ESTABLISHMENT” and search
g. Select the State as TAMILNADU
h. . Click apply
i. Click apply again
For students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal
Step 1:
a. Go to www.mhrdnats.gov.in
b. Click Enroll
c. Complete the enrollment and submit
Please note: Please wait for atleast two days
for enrollment verification and approval**.
After this student can proceed to
Step 2 :
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
d. Choose Establishment name
e. Type “COMBAT VEHICLES RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT
ESTABLISHMENT” and search
f. Select the State as TAMILNADU
g. . Click apply
h. Click apply again.

for student enrollment verification.
X TRAVEL EXPENSES: No TA / DA will be paid for attending certificate verification.
XI BOARDING/LODGING: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible
XII. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, COMBAT VEHICLES RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT (STNTLC000024). shall have no obligation to offer
employment to such apprentices nor can an apprentice claim right for employment on the
grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
XIII. IMPORTANT DATES:
- Online Application starting date 10.11.2022
- Last date for enrolling in NATS portal 25.11.2022
- Last date for applying COMBAT VEHICLES RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT : 05.12.2022 - Handing over of rank list to CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai for
further process : 10.12.2022
