TAMIL NADU MOTOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DEPT, CHENNAI (STNCHS000028)
Govt. of Tamil Nadu invites Online application from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in
Engineering (passed during 2020, 2021 & 2022), hailing from Tamilnadu, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
II. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a Statutory University in
relevant discipline.
A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution
empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or
Central Government as equivalent to above.
B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Full time) granted by a State Council or Board
of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a University in relevant
discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the
State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
AGE:
Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
RESERVATION OF VACANCIES:
Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be
followed. Those who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PwD shall provide certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only. If BC/MBC candidates claiming OBC (Non-creamy layer) category, they should bring OBC(NCL) certificate as per the approved (OBC (NCL)) format from the certificate issuing authority.
PREVIOUS TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship
under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is entrusted to the task of preparing shortlisted
candidates list from online application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the CGPA / Percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Chennai.
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IN
TAMIL NADU MOTOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DEPT, CHENNAI

For students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal and having login
details.
Please note : After verification of student
enrolment by BOAT (SR), a student can able
to login and apply
Step 1:
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “TAMIL NADU MOTOR
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DEPT ”
and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again.
For students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal
Step 1:
a. Go to www.mhrdnats.gov.in
b. Click Enroll
c. Complete the application form
d. A unique Enrolment Number for each
student will be generated.
Please note: Please wait for atleast one day for
enrollment verification and approval. After this
student can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 :
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “TAMIL NADU MOTOR
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DEPT”
and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again

- Last date for enrolling in NATS portal 16.11.2022

- Verification of certificates for shortlisted candidates. December ‘2022
